KIP BENNETT

CHRIS SCHAEFER

With roots in theatre and a family of classical musicians, Bennett is a formidable talent in front of the camera and atop the ivories. His film debut came with long-time friend Joe Zappa's sophomore short A Seat at Milo's. He went on to continuously collaborate with Zappa, co-writing and starring in Zappa's thriller short Whisper and serving as executive producer on The Last Checkmate. He co-starred with Gregory Patrick Agnew in Sahil Sharma's Bandit's Gone and recently appeared in David James' Vinyl. Bennett has spent 20 years teaching piano professionally. He is slated to score, produce and appear in several upcoming feature films and co-owns Brand Old Productions with Zappa, James, Sharma and Myra Zimmerman-Grubbs.

TIFANI AHREN DAVIS

DENISE DOBKIN

Tifani Ahren Davis began acting over 10 years ago and carries experience in film, theater and commercials, also working as a makeup artist, line producer and script supervisor on independent films. She has exploded on the area acting circuit as a favorite leading lady following Clever Girl, landing a recurring spot on YouTube game show Impulse, which she co-hosts with Alex Adams, Zach Daulton and Mike Kukuris. She quickly garnered memorable roles in the crime drama Wells and Mary, the thriller Dead for the Holidays, and the Hallmark channel films The Ultimate Legacy and the Mariah Carey vehicle A Christmas Melody. Additionally, she stars in the popular short films Vinyl, Frantic and Cut Short. When not in front of the camera, she is found behind her own, proving a prolific photographer.

SHANNON FAITH

GERTRUDE HYDE

Shannon Faith received her BFA in Dramatic Performance from UC's College Conservatory of Music. After touring nationally with the musical Everything's Ducky, she's performed locally onstage at Playhouse in the Park as well as with Fringe Festival productions. She appeared in commercials and industrial videos before being cast as Gerty. She can also be found crafting fiber art installations with the Bombshells of Cincinnati, and teaching Mat and Reformer based Pilates classes.

JASON GREEAR

KEENAN ALBERTSON

Born in New Carlisle, OH, Greear began acting only a few years ago after being asked to appear in a commercial. Since then, he has appeared in the TV movie Camel Spiders and ABC's Final Witness before sharing the screen with Woody Harrelson in 2013's Out of the Furnace. He co-wrote and produced the military drama Wings of Courage. He has been shooting the series Faith in Hebron, Kentucky, for Out on a Limb Studios.

SHEILA MUDD BAKER

SHIRLEY WOLTZ

Indiana-born Baker is an actress noted for her deep involvement in creating the appearances and physicalities of her characters, from Detective Childs in Randy Fabert's Psycho Killer to Sophie in Bad Fellaz, from Miss Sally in Act of Contrition to Ms. Colter in Army from Hell. She also appears in the sci-fi action-adventure feature Zenith Protocol and has been seen on Tim Caldwell's Covington-based series omethin' Suave Theater. Shirley is one of her most meticulous and ambitious departures in an eclectic body of work. She recently co-starred with Cate White in the comedy short The Ladies Next Door, an adaptation of her own short play, again with Clever Girl creator Joe Zappa at the helm.

victoria eleanor McDEVITT

LESLIE HARRIS

McDevitt studied musical theater at Northern Kentucky University before joining Bleeding Edge Productions with her long-time friend Stephonika W. Kaye, and has appeared in several shorts for the company including Echoes, The Coughing Dead, Rising Seas and No Such Thing as Ghosts. She made her debut as a director of music videos for the company. Joe Zappa met her on the set of Kaye's found footage horror short Should've Gone to the Concert, where he hired her on the spot to play Leslie in Clever Girl. She has been since appeared in Nick Pirrmann's horror feature The Drifter.

DAVID JAMES

JEB HARRIS

James is one of few examples of an actor with the talent and skill set to lens his own performance. Having served as director of photography on Joe Zappa's The Last Checkmate and the Tifani Ahren Davis vehicle Wells and Mary, James also has taken plum roles, such as Axel Magee in an Art Institute production of Woody Allen's Don't Drink the Water. He played the lead in his 2014 short Vinyl, which he wrote, produced, edited and directed.

ELOISE McNAIR

ELOISE HYDE

JIM OWENS

JAMES T. CRAIG

Owens was born in Maryland, raised in New Jersey and has lived in Greater Cincinnati since he was 11 years old.  He now resides in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, with his family. Jim caught the “acting bug” when he was selected to be a featured extra on the set of Todd Haynes' Carol.  After being encouraged to pursue acting and modeling by a number of people familiar with the film industry last year, he has been in numerous local and national commercials, print ads, short films and features, including The Blunderer, Chain of Command, Wells and Mary, Faces and Shepard in which he plays the title character. He plays opposite Christopher Rowley in Jordan Squibb's 45-minute drama PowerStache and has worked with director Joseph Cox on the short Morosity and the YouTube comedy What Are Your Intentions with My Daughter?

JASON ERVIN

SHELLY NEWBERRY

“Jim Gantor” began as drummer in the punk band My Two Cents before moving into make-up effects work for Jacob's Paradox, Cannibilies: Prelude and Clever Girl. Since his foray into production, he has occasionally detoured into character roles.

STEPHANIE LEATHERS

           DORIS HARRIS

Born and raised in Frankfort, KY, Leathers joined Images Model & Talent Agency in Lexington in 2013, taking a variety of instruction including modeling and acting. By 2014, she found herself cast in the darkly comic series Seasons of Disorder, the Kevin Sorbo feature Hope Bridge and as the manipulative Doris Harris in Clever Girl.

JUDY DAVIS

JUDY

Mother of successful documentarian Erin Davis, Judy makes her debut in Clever Girl as a comically exaggerated version of herself. She is Kip Bennett's actual next-door neighbor and never discusses rape off-camera.

JOANNA LLOYD

MEGHAN OSGOOD

Lloyd was born in Garfield Heights, OH of Polish, Russian and Irish descent. JoAnna is an actress known for her work with Burnmill Productions, including Lana Read's romance Fully Functional, Al Harland's WWII zombie film Uberzombiefrau and JB Miller's horror short Will to Live. She also appears as Matty Harper in Stephanie Hensley and Bryan Jolliffe's romantic thriller Dane Granger. The physical daring often involved in her roles can be attributed to her expertise in yoga and as a roller derby girl.

LIZZY LEIGH

CAPTIVE WOMAN

Lizzy has worked professionally as an actress, singer, model, dancer, editor, scriptwriter for commercials, production coordinator, director and producer. She broke into the industry just recently to appear in NBC's Chicago PD, Fox's Empire, the Cincinnati-shot feature drama Act of Contrition and Todd Haynes' Cannes sensation Carol.

AL ALEXANDER

DENNIS EGGERTON

Since receiving an acting scholarship and graduating with a degree in theatre, English and speech, Alexander has worked in commercials, video productions and live events for nearly three decades. STEPHONIKA W. KAYE

GILLIAN PETERS

Not long after her move to Ohio from her native West Virginia, Stephonika was wrapping principal photography on her own sci-fi feature The Nameless Cryst in which she began a tradition of casting herself in cameo role in her own projects. Before forming her own production company Bleeding Edge, she appeared with Joe Zappa in A Man a Woman and a Maybe, which screened in competition at WinterFilm 2014, and played Dawn in Daniel McCormack's Respite Care.

With a background in local and national commercial spots, she at one time was co-director of a drama group, performing on-stage productions and gathering experience coordinating and organizing ensembles and various facets of production. Myra was later cast in various Cincinnati-based shorts including Mute and Foster Home. She plays Melanie McFlame in William Lee's spoof Bad Fellaz.

STEPHONIKA W. KAYE

He recently completed work as editor on young adult novelist E.E. Charlton-Trujillo's challenging documentary At-Risk Summer, which traces the author's unconventional three-month book tour across America to workshop writing with abused and economically vulnerable youth.
